Paradise Beach is undoubtedly the most beautiful beach in Pondicherry! It is clean, serene, and peaceful. You have to take a boat ride for about 30 minutes to reach the beach and this post covers all the details on how to reach it, the timings and prices involved. So, let’s begin!
How To Reach Paradise Beach in Pondicherry
To reach Paradise Beach in Pondicherry, you have to take a boat ride from Chunnambar Boat House. You can take an auto, cab or whatever vehicle you are travelling with to this place. First, you have to get the entry ticket to get inside the premises of the boat house for just Rs. 10/- per head.
Inside it’s like a park where you can spend some time even if you are not interested in boating. There’s a cafe inside, you can just sit there and enjoy some food.
Timings and Prices
You can get the tickets for the motorboat ride to Paradise Beach from the ticket counter beside the cafe.
The tickets cost Rs. 354/- per head for a round trip and the boat timings are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
In the 30-minute boat ride, you can see the large mangrove and palm forest throughout the ride and it looks so beautiful! It is an experience in itself, even before we reach the beach!
WELCOME TO PARADISE BEACH! This is the entryway and it is a no-plastic zone, hence the beach is very clean. You have to walk a little, on the white sand and among the trees, to reach the shore.
There were some beach activities as well including horse riding. We wanted to do some water sports but it was not happening there yet so we decided to have lunch first.
This was the only restaurant at the beach where we could find something to have for lunch. The quality and quantity of the food were not that great though.

1. Relax in the nature
Paradise Beach is so clean and beautiful that you will feel like just sitting and relaxing all the time! You can just sit under one of the sheds and enjoy the waves and calm down.
2. Photography heaven
If you love taking photos then this beach is perfect for you! The crowd is less, hence you get a lot of clean angles to take photos or make videos.
3. Play beach games
You can opt for playing some beach games like volleyball. You have to carry the sports items yourself of course.
If you are more into nature and don’t like crowded areas then Paradise Beach is one of the best places to visit in Pondicherry for you!
